Springer and Bayliff are both Lefties, along with Bennett who is transferring form UNI.

Green and Davidson both hit from the right side.

I looked everywhere online, but couldn't find what side of the plate Goro hits from.

Bayliff should provide a nice lefty bat in the outfield and I think Springer will make an immediate impact at either 3rd or DH. Having a left handed power hitter is something this lineup really needs. From the past reading I've done on Green, I think he has the most promise of all the everyday players we are bringing in.

The outfield should be pretty strong and competitive next year assuming Jones is back and Hall makes a full recovery. Add Bennett, Green, Bayliff, Engrave, Bascue, Caster and Letourneau and it should be whoever hits plays...

Engrav may not play OF next year but as a DH he would be nice.He really hit well when he got the chance this season.

          I wish people wouldn't bring politics into sports. ... ;-) :D
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

Honestly I don't think everyone will be back in the Outfield. Caster looked better out of the pen than as an outfielder they might consider moving him. It will be tough for Letourneau to come back. There will just be too many outfielders coming in. Right now I think it will be Hall, Jones, and Bennett starting. That leaves Engrav as either a DH or C and there is a log jam there with Lassley, O'Brien, Rosecrans etc...

I agree. I would like to see Caster move to the bullpen and I hope either Green or Bayliff challenge the upperclassmen for one of those outfield spots.

I would still like for us to have a DH only for their hitting and power. Not worry if he is fast or can field a position. JUST HIT AND HIT HARD!

Possible chance of five LEFT handed Hitters in the line up makes me happy. Or four with a pinch hitter on the bench also makes me happy.

Will Baez? I don't think this senior (veteran) will be riding the pine. He was 'solid' towards the end of the year after learning a new position.
