Let's just hope he can hit a D1 curveball.

Does the M.I.N.K. champ get a slot in the NBC?I'd really love to see Coy play before fall ball in Wichita.

I believe so. I know Beatrice has been here quite a few times and I think they are in the M.I.N.K.

Looks like Johnny dropped another bomb against beatrice last night.

"But the long ball got the Mustangs a 5-0 advantage, with Landinn Eckhardt hitting a solo shot — his first of the season — to lead off the second and Johnny Coy hitting a two-run blast to left-center field in the third."

If Coy emerges as the man at third (which I fully expect), it is going to set up a doozy of a fight for the starting job at catcher.

            Good news all around.

                Johnny Coy

FYI- Johnny pulled a hamstring about 10 days ago. He is gettting much better and hopes to play today in Topeka. He has been sitting a few games here and there to try and help with his leg injury and has even played some first base for the first time in his career. I just wanted to let everyone know that he is slightly injured just in case someone made the trip to Topeka and he didn't play in the game today.

Hopefully he does what he needs to do to get it healed up.

I'm assumming pulled is the same as strained in this case. As long as he didn't tear or slightly tear his hamstring then I'm not sweating. He didn't tear anything did he?
