            Preston Springer - .246 Avg., .311 Slg., .319 Obp, 10 RBI, 4 doubles in 18 games.

            Bret Bascue - .354 avg, .583 slg, .475 obp, 11 rbi, 3 HR, 2 doubles, in 13 games.

            Kevin Hall - .340 avg, .300 slg, .492 obp, 1 double, 3 rbi in 13 games.

            Ryan Jones - .129 avg, .194 slg, .206 obp, 2 doubles, 1 rbi in 9 games.

            Chris O'Brien - .207 avg, .276 slg, .361 obp, 2 doubles, 2 rbi in 10 games.

Jordan Cooper has still made just the one start. I hope he is not hurt.

            Charlie Lowell - 2 games, 3 IP, 1 hit, 0 runs, 3 K's, 3 walks.

            Ryan Engrav - .182 avg, .273 slg, .357 obp, 1 double, 1 rbi in 6 games.

            Brian Flynn - 3-1, 4.66 ERA, 19 1/3 IP, 10 ER, 18 hits, 17 K's, 11 BB in 4 starts.

            Remington Johnson - .286 avg, .452 slg, .412 obp, 2 HR, 1 double, 12 rbi, 3 sb in 16 games. 0-0 as a pitcher with a 1.08 ERA in 8 1/3 IP. 6 hits, 1 ER, 8 K's, 5 BB, 2 saves in 5 appearances.

            Tim Kelley - 3-0, 1.12 ERA, 24 IP, 16 hits, 3 ER, 25 K's, 10 BB in 4 starts.

Couple of observations. Very pleased with the performances of Bascue, Hall, and Johnson on offense. I think it will be interesting to see who hits leadoff next year. My pick at this point is Hall. Kelley is having a great summer in Santa Barbara. He is going to be nails next year. Hopefully the Foresters will make it to the NBC and we can get a look at Tim. Jordan Cooper has only made one start early in the summer. Flynn is pitching well, which bodes well for him to be the 4th starter next year.

              Liberal player stats ...

              Mitch Caster - .379 Avg., .552 Slg., .429 Obp, 8 RBI, 7 doubles in 14 games with Liberal, plus 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 6 appearances in relief: 7.2 IP, 1 H, 8 K, 2 BB, .042 OBA

              Will Baez - .667 in 2 starts. He's 4 for 6 with 3 BB. .778 OBP and 2-2 in steals.

Cooper had a second start that got rained out and didn't go into the books. Thought Kemnitz said he had gone 4 scorless or something along those lines before getting canceled.

Lowells 3 walks in 3 innings is somewhat troubling. He kinda struggled with walks at times last spring.

I'll go out on a limb and say that Jonesy won't be getting Coleman-like late round bonus offers.

Where is Clint McKeever this summer? I have not seen him listed in the paper for Derby.

Just heard that the reason Will Baez isn't getting ABs with Liberal is that he's no longer with the team.

Apparently the wrist injury that he battled for much of the year is still not healing, so he's having an MRI and further tests.

Mckeever had to have orthodcopic surgery on his knee and is rehabbing-probably won't make it back before the summer is over
