Grimes Injured?

Not that I'm expecting us to do much this weekend anyways, with the regional that we are in. I expect OU will shut us down on Friday, and Arkansas looks pretty tough too, not sure about the other WSU. But if we don't have Grimes this weekend, forget about it. We can't afford to lose a player like him, who can helps us both offensively and defensively.

I'll say it again to myself, how freaking sweet would it be to have a story like Fresno State's last year .
Back on subject, channel 3 said it was a vague fracture. We'll see how things develop tomorrow.

I just don't see how anyone with a fracture, much less a sprain, will be able to swing a bat or throw a ball without some serious pain.
While it would be a HUGE blow, Grimes' health isn't worth a regional title.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Well...
Brown probably does want to step up, Fever, and offensively he may even be able to do so for the most part -- but shortstop is primarily a defensive position, and the question is whether he's capable of stepping up defensively at the requisite level.
We may see Sossamon at short, with some combination of O'Brien or Brown at 3rd and DH. Oh, for some additional middle infielders who really are middle infielders, as opposed to converted catchers, DHs, etc.
