The 2009 BCS Baseball Tournament

They prove that Monmoth, and Marist, and Stetson, and the like with their 145 rpi are nothing but punching bags for the 1 seed. They are an absolute joke, they don't belong in the tournament.

#1 Clemson 5, #4 Tennessee Tech 4 (Clemson scored 2 in the bottom of the 9th)

OK guys...who will come out of the Norman Regional? Oklahoma?

It looks like that in Tallahassee either FSU or Georgia will come out. Ohio State doesn't look that good and Marist is two and done.

IMHO, I would say Arkansas. They're 2-0 and leading against OU 6-1 in bot of the 3rd. OU has a great offense but there pitching is suspect. Arkansas has managed to take advantage and knock out OU's starter already. We managed to do the same last night as well.

Washington State has played pretty well (with the exception of when they had a bad inning & opened the flood gates last night). They have some pretty good pitchers but I think Arkansas will get the best of them.

I really would like to see Arkansas win it, but if OU wins, Florida State has to go on the road and get out of their little league dimensions park.

FSU does have a short right porch..with a 30 foot screen on top.

BUt..Tyler Field is smaller than FSU's field. FSU has a shorter right field but has a fence on top of the wall that starts at 20 feet in the power alley and goes to 30 feet in righ,

...Tyler has a short left field and shorter center and power alley.

No question the Shocks were lacking in the power department this year. Hopefully, the young guys hit the weights hard between now and next year and improve the power numbers.

A significant factor in the power numbers is (obviously) the weather conditions.
