  • Trouble on the hill?

At the end of the KU game all the police officers ran to the right field hill. Everyone was up on their feet.

    What was going on?

    ?

Also lols to the cop who was running out there holding her glove.

Probably a drunk KU fan chipping his teeth at a WSU fan or vice versa. Someone took offense and blows were about to be thrown. My guess anyway.

My guess is somebody uttered the words 'white pants' and all hell broke loose.

They really need to keep those bluebloods in a confined area. Sheesh.

            ;-)
At Ballard’s Sporting Goods in Aggieville, this season’s popular purple T-Shirt with the “Welcome to Huggieville” greeting had already been replaced with a newer line known as “Welcome to Traitorville.” “Welcome Back to Loserville” might be a more appropriate selection. - msnbc 4/7/07

There was one big ol fat KU fan* who was pushing a baby stroller through the Eck with one hand and a beer in the other trying to high five the lady KU fans and kept pushing the stroller into people. It looked like he was headed out that way and I wouldn't be surprised if he was involved in an altercation.

              * WSU has fat fans too. I'm working on becoming not one of them. I'm just saying he was a fat man as a statement independent of his KU fandom.

Was it Mark Mangino? Was he out to support the baseball Hawks?

I was on the hill, it's not surprising there was a fight. I look at it this way, if by some crazy chance KU ever played WSU in basketball and we went up there for a game and actually won...I'm sure our fans would be just as obnoxious as many of the KU fans were last night. When you play a team who dominates in a sport like WSU has over the last 30 years, you're going to have to take advantage of wins like this, because they are few and far between. Sure KU has beaten us before, but in the past it didn't really mean much to KU because they had nothing to play for, this year it means something.

I would like to add, for the most part the KU fans I saw out there were fine. They cheered when their team did something good, but didn't talk a lot of crap. There were a few KU fans, however, who ruined it for everyone. Lucky for me they weren't sitting close enough for me to hear what they were saying.

Here, here. It is not unlike the few WSU fans when we were ranked in the Top 10 making obnoxious t-shirts and proclaiming we have surpased KU as the best b-ball team in the state. I have no doubt if that scenario occurred, we'd have some WSU fans chipping their teeth then getting a beat down.

The incident happened right as I was leaving last night. I don't know exactly what happened to start it, but I saw one of the security guards grab a guy wearing a KU Football jersey and quickly escort him out of the stadium. Once they were outside the KU guy decided it was a good idea to try starting a fight with the security guard and the Wu Cops. It got pretty exciting and the KU guy ended up in handcuffs.

For a moment, I thought you were going to diss our (at one time ACVA ranked #9) volleyball team. At least you have some sense. :D
