Wow - ORU hit a bomb that just DIED as it was in on the hands and what started off the bat as a 2 run HR was out #1 with the runner going back to first as he had taken off on first movement.

Bowen throws the same pitches as their last guy and falls behind 2-0. Chris O sits on it and gets a leadoff single.

I wonder if the home plate ump isn't related.

Mitch misses the bunt, 0-1.

Way inside, 1-1. Way low, 2-1. Right down the middle, pulled back. 2-2. Good grief. Not squaring early now. ORU pitcher is very concerned with Chris O at first. Throws low, full count to Mitch who has done nothing to earn it.

Mitch gets a single off the third baseman and the short stop! Runner to third even though there was no interference called (it didn't matter).

Jones up, corners, no outs.

Well, wonderful. I just got home in time for the 11th inning and to check Live Stats.

Deja vu all over again -- maybe this time the Shocks can avoid finding a way to lose, but the signs aren't good so far: pitching failures -- five of six ORU runs with two out, including the tying run in the 9th (memo to Brent: your guys really are allowed to pick up their defense from time to time); defensive failures (see also the 9th); offensive shutdown (nine up and nine down since the 8th).

Now that I've complained, how about making me look bad, guys? I'm starting to sound like KC, God help me.
