Shocks Try to Get Well in Cedar Falls/Waterloo

Who do we throw to start the four inning game today? RJ only faced one guy last night, so you have to think he is a possibility. I'd think they would save Sossamon for the 8th-9th and not try to throw him for four innings, is there anyone else that can even be considered? Could Flynn give us an inning or two? This just seems like the worst-case scenario right now. These guys can't catch a break even when the sun peaks from around the clouds over this season.

As much as we complain about the offense, WSU's fielding has been uncharacteristically bad this year as well, and it has cost them time and again, as it is in last night / today's game. Can anyone remember a more error-prone everyday Shocker in the middle of the infield than Baez? It's really telling that the coaches feel like they have to keep running him out there.

Still, what a refreshing change it would be if the pitchers would actually pick up their teammates and get the third out even if the hitter "shouldn't have come to the plate in the inning." Is it really that hard to understand that if a guy is standing at the plate with a pipe in his hand, what he does counts -- "unearned" or otherwise?
