    Not much news comes out of Odessa, Texas, whence toils Preston Springer, our 6-3 205 lb. juco recruit ... but here are his stats through 36 games.

    Preston Springer cooled a bit over the last third of the season. He ended the regular season leading Odessa College in BA, HR, SLG, Walks and RBI. They open Region play May 10 in Lubbock.
