Shocks take on Illinois State in Coach Brownlee's last coaching trip to Wichita (although he may very well be back for the MVC Tournament).

No doube we will get the Redbird's best shot.

Sounds like we might have a pitcher-friendly strike zone tonight, which is fine as long as it it consistent and not too crazy wide.

Catcher interference on a pitch-out -- that does not happen often. In fact, that may be a new one on me.

Redbirds had the hit and run on, so the Shocks guessed right, but apparently made the pitch just a little too close. In any event, the batter attempting to protect the runner hit Cody's gove and was properly awarded first base.

ILS then socres the 1st run of the game on a 3rd strike wild pitch.

Jones reminds me of Matt Brown at the plate, with half the power.

Shocks leave 'em loaded in the 4th. Ryan Jones really struggling at the plate right now.

Shocks, despite only 1 hit, have had plenty of opportunities and have stolen 6 bases already.

The game does not have a real good feel to it if you are a Shocker fan.

2nd and 3rd no outs and we manage to squeak out a run. Our two 'doubles' were laughable. But at this point, I'll take anything we can get.

Grimes strikes out to end the inning. That was painful.

Kelly has been good to blue collar but has had no support. Worst case this should be a tie game if not us leading by one or two.
