If anyone wants to know why Gene and Brent have a lot less hair than they used to and why what's there is gray, this game should illustrate perfectly that it isn't just age.

More of the endless storm of two-out lightning by the bad guys, this time from the bottom of a weak batting order against WSU's ace starter; more of the endless futility by the top or heart of WSU's order, effectively killing innings that get off to great starts with none or only one out.

It's hard tpo blame Gene too much for hesitating to bunt and give away outs when the WSU hitters give away plenty all by themselves and consistently fail to put the ball in play effectively when it's needed.
