Pretty much the same set-up for this series as the TCU series.
Pepperdine is ranked anywhere for #11 (BA) to #17 (USA Today/Coaches) to #22 (Collegiate Baseball).
They can hit plenty and their pitching isn't bad.
Young starters (Kelley, Lowell, Cooper) need to stay focused and defense needs to be solid (or spectacular). Shox need to rub the bats with chicken bones or something to ward off the evil spirits. Someone/anyone in the bullpen needs to get hot.
I was a little surprised to note that Pepperdine had never come to Wichita. Maybe they won't be able to adapt to the c-c-c-cold.

Looks like Pepperdine's pitching is much better than TCU's. I was not impressed at all by TCU's pitching or defense for that matter. They sure could execute at the plate and on the bases though. Course we helped them substantially with our poor fielding and decision making. I think Pepperdine will be a tougher match up. Good news is... We are at home and that should help things. Here is to home cooking. Lets hope the kids are ready to kick some ass after the smack down they took Wednesday on the field and in the press room. If that wasn't embarrassing enough to motivate them then it could be trouble this weekend.
