    OUTSTANDING WORK SH0X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What an impressive display of toughness in such a young, inexperienced group of players!

Success bleeds through nearly every aspect of our baseball program. The epitome of a reload, not a rebuild was on display today!

I wish our basketball team would hang out with our baseball players. Then again, perhaps that wouldn't be such a good idea... I would hate for our basketball team to rub off on our baseball team...

Great win Shocks Cody was due.
First a Baseball fan then a Volleyball fan and then I guess I follow the basketball team.

No doubt with this young team we will have our ups and downs and maybe even lose a couple late.

But for now I really like what I am seeing with these young guys. This is going to be a fun ride and we may be better than expected this year.

Very happy for Cody who has patiently put in his time in the background and is now finally getting his chance to shine.

How good will we be over the next several years, especially if most of the incoming recruits decide to join the fun next fall and we get Logan Hoch and Tyler Fleming back for another year.

          :goshocks:

If I had a dollar for every time the Sh0x baseball team has made a come-from-behind win, I would have a very nice chunk of change.

Back in the 90's, if we were trailing after the seventh, I would always expect us to pull out the win. I was usually right.

Great win Shox!!! Shox have to many comebacks to give up on them 1 run down in the 9th.

Elliot was syaing last year the Shox were 3-13 when trailing after 7 and also 3-13 when trailing after eight. They (annoncers) said that even 1 out of 13-14 would be a good comeback stat after 7. Today we are 1-1 after trailing after seven, correct?
"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

It was impressive, especially after things did not go their way in the bottom of the 5th when wtih 1 out Baez walked, Jones double to deep left hopped the fence costing us a run and probably a triple for Ryan.
Cody struck out on what Kennedy described as a pretty wide strike call and the the inning ended on a drive right at the left fielder that big Cling apparently just missed getting all of it.

The guys kept battling back and when Cody got another opportunity in the 9th he came through big time.

Grant Muncrief apparently has decided he wants to be the man out of the bullpen this year.

That is always good, I think. Is that kind of like being run-ruled?

Yeah, this isn't the 90's but I am keeping my hopes up for another World Series return one day..

We were a heckuva lot better than 3-13 back in those days.. I was so amazed by how often we would hammer teams in the last 2 or 3 innings. I think most of that was due to our tremendous pitching staff. Our opposition's "ace" would wear out and of course they would have no bullpen (compared to ours) so we would always start abusing them after the 7th and they wouldn't get a scratch on us. It also takes some big bats to make those kind of comebacks.. Pat Magness, Jeff Ryan, etc. etc.

I can't add anything worth while to a winning conversation, as history has proven, but I can stand and yell "Homers, quit looking through yellow colored glasses" after any loss to get people ticked off.

;-) It's ok though, whatever floats your boat, perhaps next game you will get your boatrace and be able to come on with "I told you so!"

I can assure you lawmaker and myself are not one in the same. I would not have wasted the last three years and 3,000 posts on SN if I was a person like lawmaker. Get over it already.

I have a feeling that this group will get us there sometime these next three years.

Gene and JT taking a chill pill early on with these guys will make all the difference. We are further ahead on the learning curve than I had expected at this point...this is going to be a very, very fun season to watch.
