Looks like it's going to be a real dogfight in the valley this year.

When conference play starts, you better pack a lunch, snack, dinner and extra cell phone batteries for that 3rd game on Sunday.

Doesn't look like 3rd starter depth is a big strength of the Valley this year (or much else for that matter).

Cooper will be fine as our 3rd starter. I suspect that first game he had nerves. He is considered the best pitching prospect on the team and he will be just fine now that the first game is out of the way. No worries. All he has to do is throw strikes and work ahead then mix it up.

Is that ALL he has to do. If it was that simple I'd try out for the team. :D

If you throw 90 or so I'm sure they will take a look at ya. Cooper is a stud. His numbers will be there at the end.

Now I would pay a pretty penny to see that.

I've got a wicked fastball - according to speed ball at the state fair. I'm topping out at 74 mph, but can throw consistently around 70. The beauty of it is it will be a real effective pitch because my Efus ball will totally throw them for a loop and will make my 74 mph look like 94 mph. :D

You know that might actually work. But the real question is what kind of control are you commanding with these pitches? No doubt you hit the zone 100% of the time right?

I've got Greg Maddux type control. My delivery ranges from submarine style to 3/4's, which also helps me screw with hitters. I hope Gene gives me a serious look next season.

That I have no doubt, but you couldn't throw that 15 feet accurately not to mention 60'6".

You have to wrap some grey tape around the ball and then cut out the holes. That gives you the ability to throw some distance and prolongs the life of the ball. Downside is my rising curve ball stings a little when one of the kids hug the plate to much and they take one in the ear.
