    What inning? score?
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

It sounds like the hitters are making adjustments and are now hitting the ball hard. SMost of the offensive production coming from the "veterans" (Hall, Brown, Lassley, Jones).

Well now 5-0 w/ 2 outs and 2 on as we got a HBP

I'll take em any way we can get em... especially considering our suspect bullpen.

One heckuva an impressive Shocker debut for Charlie Lowell.

No hits, no runs - 9 K's in 5 innings.

                    :good:

Hmm......talk the Shocks down.....Brent pieces together a staff.....other Valley teams sucking hind tit.

Charlie working ahead....throwing 3 pitches for strikes......striking out the first batter in 4 of 5 innings.

Did I mention Charlie is working ahead?

I'll wager Lowell gets 1 more inning despite the 75 pitch count limit. He's working ahead now and really dealing. He has really thrown 75 "easy" pitches.

Edit: OK, I'm wrong. BTW, Lowell allowed 0 hits in 5 innings.

Terry hit the nail on the head and I'm surprised this wasn't brought up (maybe it was and I missed it).

Gene is always woe is me, we are so bad, ... WAIT A SECOND! KC SHOX IS GENE!

Anyways, after that reminder the pre-season talk makes a lot more sense in my head.

Maybe in a couple of weeks. Normally the early pitch counts are pretty hard, especially with leads and going between innings.

Unknown, definitely. Unproven, yes. Suspect, too early to tell.

Of course, a healthy Logan Hoch and Tyler Fleming would certainly have given us a greater degree of confidence.
