Is Chris our first ever second generation Shocker Baseball player?

I like what the article has to say about him.

      Funny story

Yesterday at work a guy and I were talking about Joe Carter and his kid.

Then I said "you know we need to see if Charlie O Brien has a kid thats ready to play for us"

I believe Stan Brown's boy is a Freshman on the Shocker team this year

I do hope Carter's boy follows in his dad's footsteps and comes to WSU as well.

With this recruiting class the Gene has put together so far, what percentage will be drafted high enough to go pro, and not go to college? I would love to see these guys all show up in Wichita next year.

            Wasn't Pechek ....

[edit note]It looks like I was wrong on Pechek, he was not a 2nd generation shocker.

I believe Pecheks dad played with Brent at Phillips U. in Oklahoma.

I think Tony's brother was an equipment manager or something for the Shockers a few (several) years ago ???

                  Right you are wushock.

                  From today's Eagle:

Taylor Brown, son of former Shocker pitcher Stan Brown, edged out O'Brien for the distinction of the first son of a Gene Stephenson-coached player to play for WSU. Brown, from Edmond (Okla.) Memorial, is a freshman shortstop at WSU.
