NCAA showed up. Highlights were the following:
1. May consider altering RPI for northern teams. Issue will be discussed next summer [editoral note: thats stupid idea]
2. Coached voted 163-1 in favor of keeping springs games at 56 instead of 52. NCAA President Myles Brand expressed a committment to help baseball keep its 56 games.
3. Coaches want the spring schedule expanded from 13 weeks to 14 weeks. The preferable option is to add 1 week at the end.
4. Coaches want to increase scholarships from 11.7 to 14.
5. Two rules issues discussed. Bat testing methods and the Gene Stephenson sponsored 20 second clock.
