He isn't a signee yet; he's just given a non-binding verbal commitment.

As far as I know, if he's a qualifier academically he theoretically could come at the semester for next spring, but if that were going to be the case he'd probably be here already -- why wait around? So that suggests that he'll be at WSU next fall, assuming he sticks with his commitment and assuming he doesn't sign pro (as juco players can).

All of that will probably happen, and he sounds like a good guy to have. Like my close personal friend KC, I like having some guys who can bash the ball, and this one seems pretty promising. But don't get overeager -- he's almost certainly still a year away.

Finishing out his soph. year at juco is probably a good thing. His power-surge came this past summer and it will be interesting to see how much more he displays this spring over last spring, when he was changing his hitting style.

I would rather see him show off his power this year at Wichita State than show off his power at JUCO. The pro scouts have the ability to draft that power right away from us.
