Mike Pelfrey Story

My wife and just got home from our honeymoon in NYC.We are both huge baseball fans so with her being a Yanks fan and me a Braves fan we chose this last week to go to NYC.We took in the whole Braves/Mets series at Shea then the first 2 games of the Chi Sox/Yankees at the park in the Bronx.For the Sunday game we both wore our Shocker baseball shirts and hats.The highlight of our whole honeymoon(at least for her)was a brief encounter with Mike P.We went to watch him stretch and throw before the game by the RF corner.Mike came over and pointed out our Shocker gear then signed a foul ball I had caught the night before.He also gave us the ball he played catch with in warmups.This was the only autograph he signed.It really made our honeymoon special and game us a souviner we will charish forever.My wife and I met just before Mike's freshmen year and we watched every home start and a few road ones together so this really meant alot to the both of us.Just thought I'd share what we thought was a neat moment.Mike Pelfrey,Shocker for life.

We had a similar encounter in Wrigley Field the first season Darren Dreifort was in the majors. Those are some of my most treasured memories and souveniers. Way to go, tru2thaduce!
