Fundraising campaign - Naming rights

Our gift qualifies us for one of two types of naming rights.

1. 10 bricks in the Gene Stephenson walk of Champions. (together or spread around)

2. Sponsor an All-American. This entails having name recognition next to a plaque of the player, as well as being on a Wall of Honor plaque at the main entrance of Eck Stadium.

There are quite a number of players left to sponsor, including three from last season (Gillespie, Musgrave, Capra). If we choose this route we can pick from the entire list.

I would like to know what you who have donated would prefer - the bricks or sponsoring an All-American.

Speaking for myself, I think it would be cool to sponsor an AA.

Most definitely All-American. I like the sound of that.

In addition, if there is any voting for specific student/athletes, I will abstain in the event my "special" player is in the mix, and I will just go with what everyone else decides. :yes:

I agree with Conor. I say we make this an annual thing and do the fundraising next year to sponsor another All-American.

I don't exactly disagree, but I would like to see the list before making a decision.

My main thought is if there is a 4 year player that has been passed over, personally I would like to make sure that AA is recognized....but I will certainly not go against the majority....I'd just like everyone to go over the list before deciding.
