Strange summer league stats for our boy.

He played for the Harrisonburg, Va. Turks in the wood-bat Valley Baseball League. (His first name is "Wilsisky," for those of you looking for information.)

Baez hit .197 in 61 ABs and fielded .941 — but he played almost exclusively at catcher and DH with two games in LF and one at 2B.

Turns out, he caught most of the games for W. Oklahoma State, too.

He also may have been injured this summer. He was not in the lineup for quite a few games in the middle of the season (he played in 26 of their 47 games) but seemed to be coming on a little bit right at the end.

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Yeah ... I agree: Another utility player with pop can't be a bad thing. He kind of looks like a Cody Lassley clone ... a guy who plays everywhere and can run.

Said he was leadoff hitter. That sounds like it could help if he hits D1 curveball. Hope he has range at second base. All is good so far.
First a Baseball fan then a Volleyball fan and then I guess I follow the basketball team.

Glad to see that we got some help up the middle. Obviously he'll be facing tougher competition, but hopefully he can hold his own.

He canceled his visit, and apparently is out of the picture.
