 Only 41 people working the tournament? I don't know what to say... except that now I REALLY wish I could help out in some way. Kudos to those 41! I'm sure they're doing the best job anyone could do under the circumstances. Another victim of rising fuel prices, probably. I hope Wichita gets to keep hosting this tourney and now that we know what's what, I'm sure we'll be more understanding. :D
This is why I asked for the information in the first place. I'm just hoping to get the "scoop" and I don't care who it comes from.
A big thank-you to everyone who has responded, and keep it going!
This is the time to pick up the ball and run with it. I think I can make it on Monday.

What time do the Sluggers and Vienna play on Monday? I would like to make that game. I hope it does not start until after 6:00 pm work you know.
First a Baseball fan then a Volleyball fan and then I guess I follow the basketball team.

It really blows my mind that 40-something-year-old guys can play in this tournament. I'm not knocking it, mind you, if they can still "walk the walk," like Terry Elliott is so far proving he can. I just had no idea that this sort of thing went on in the NBC tourney. Let's hear it for the baby boomers... :yahoo: Maybe KC's offer isn't so hare-brained after all. ;-)

The Sluggers play again on Wednesday in an elimination game. I don't know who they play or what time yet. BTW, Clint Maune and Kevin Hall play for the team (Vienna Senators) that beat them.

Clint Maune, Kevin Hall - Vienna Senators
Tim Kelley, Taylor Brown - Derby Twins
Ryan Engrav - Santa Barbara Foresters
Justin Kemp, Ryan Scoles - Park City Rangers
Cody Lassley, Clinton McKeever - Lake Havasu Heat
Brett Bascue - Southern California Fire (an interesting tidbit: Tyler Fleming is listed as a coach)

I just clicked on the Live Scoring link on the NBC site and noticed that Tim Kelley is on the mound for the Derby Twins.
