Was he the one who beat the Oklahoma Travelers at the Eck on Saturday?
Another lefty to take a look at would be Chad James who is out of Yukon High School in Ok. James beat Sioux Falls Cyclones 8-1 on Sunday morning in the Pastime Tournament that was held at WSU.
Garrett Gould from Maize also had a good outing on Sunday for the Wolverines, beating the Topeka Stars 9-1 in the semi-finals.
Both local team players survived the team USA 18-U cuts until they were down to the last day and the final 34 players across the nation. Two good players to go after for the Shocks.

Adding to the Garret Gould note above...
Garret started the Wolverines' opening game in the NBC World series last year after only his Sophomore at Maize. A friend of mine on the team told me he was already throwing low 90's as a Sophomore. We've had some good local talent lately and Gould will be added to that list.
He's got one more year at Maize, but lets hope WSU can keep him in Wichita.

I actually coached in the high school championship in SD this year, and we did not have to see him this year or last, as his team was not in our region/advanced to meet our team.
Labrie plays on a club team in the summer, which is the only one in South Dakota that isn't a legion-affiliated team - so we haven't seen him via that season either.
However, all of that being said, I have seen him pitch/coached against him in the past. Labrie could project really well over the next couple of years. I don't know that he will ever be a weekend starter, but he could become a solid contributor/reliever for us in the future.
Also, I would like to say that Wichita State has become absolutely huge in South Dakota, 99% thanks to Dusty Coleman (1% to this alum); So much so, one of the state's best legion/high school programs has changed its "M" around on all of its athletic gear - http://mitchellbaseball.net/parent_information.htm - while the hat is an exact replica, with the "W" turned upside down into an "M."
I would like to think that SD could become one of those areas that contributes a couple of kids/year to Wichita State baseball over the next few years, simply because of the popularity that Dusty has given the school, but also because our athletes are a little under-recruited right now.
