  • Thom Julian R.I.P.

Not sure if many of the folks reading Shockernet knew and/or remember TJ. He was a reliever in the mid 80's for the Shox and his funeral was today.

As far as I could tell, representing the Shox at the funeral were Gene, Gary Cundiff, and a former player that played on Thom's team.

I know lots of Shocker alums read this site so I thought I would pass along the info.

I'm not sure but he may be the 1st player to pass away from Gene's era.

Sorry to hear this news. I remember Tom as a solid player for us in the mid 80s.

I just want to add my condolences to famliy, friends, alumni, former teammates and coaches. I didn't know Mr. Julian, nor did I follow the program back then, but there should be more posts here, in my opinion. It's always a tragedy to lose someone so young (yes, that's young, people, though I'm not that much older so I'm biased). I think I can safely say, though, that once you're a Shocker, you're always a Shocker.

As a former teammate of Tom's, he will be missed.

Good guy, sorry to his family for his loss!
