Anyone know when they play near Wichita this summer?

With so much production leaving the program and so many recruits playing for them, it might be worth checking them out.

My son played for the Sluggers a few years ago and sometimes the place / schedule can change by the minute. At that time we played Showcase tournaments against other "prospect" teams from OK, MO, TX, NE, etc. We would travel to the D-1 schools and play in tournaments. It really wasn't an elimination tournament. It was to play alot of games against high calibur teams and get the kids in front of Pro and College Scouts. The system worked very well as all of the kids on our team received baseball scholarships. Many of them to WSU in this years graduating class.

The 16 year old Wichita Sluggers are playing here in the Springfield area this weekend. The 18 yr olds could be anywhere. It's probably best to call Sluggers in Wichita to find out. With all of the different age groups going by the same name, you could end up at the wrong game easily.

I'm reminded of the frustration I experienced three years ago, trying to catch the Sluggers in action. I called Sluggers and they couldn't tell me. I finally stopped by there and found out from Mark Standiford when they would be playing in Wichita next.

I would like to see them play. With five future Shockers on the team, I'd be willing to drive a ways to see them play over a weekend. Kansas City is only 3.5 hours away for me. St Louis of course would be perfect, but that's asking a lot.

We played at SLU, MU, and Springfield. I'm going to the Sluggers 16 game in Nixa tomorrow. I'll ask Mark if he would have a schedule and post it tomorrow.

Im heading to El Dorado on June 23.Not only Sluggers vs Broncos but its 50 cent hotdogs.Now that's what I call a double play!!!

Talked to Mark. He said that the Sluggers would be down in Springfield to make up a game with the Generals. The game was supposed to be last weekend and got rained out. He didn't have a schedule with him so that's pretty much all I got. He's going to check and let me know later. Might be a nice road trip for the Missouri Shocker Fans.

He did say that the team was very talented and would be alot of fun to watch. Had some special players on it.
