I simply don't get that excited about the Shockers winning the MoValley, and would much rather see WSU playing weekend series with good teams from the Big XII. Additionally, it would help our recruiting. While the streak of winning 40+ games per season might be in jeopardy, I think overall, the move would be beneficial to the program.
WSU needs to leave the Valley.

Actually Yellow Snow, I'm not drunk. I was quite surprised and disappointed at the OSU campus. OSU is no KU, OU, CU, or some of the Texas schools. It was as close to being a dump as I've seen. WSU is a national power in baseball, and getting to the Super Regional is nothing with which to be ashamed. I'm sure the Big XII would welcome another consistent feather in its cap.
Having said that, it's time for WSU to do what it can to position itself in a better conference for baseball, and the Big XII is a natural fit (geography, rivals, etc...). I for one simply don't get excited to see WSU playing Evansville, ISU-blue, ISU-red, BU, UNI, etc... I would get excited to see WSU consistently play Big XII schools. Most fans would as well.
I can understand how some at KSU or Baylor might feel slightly intimidated by WSU joining the Big XII for baseball. However, I think it would help KSU as well.

It would be interesting to kick Colorado out of Big 12 baseball, basketball, golf, track & field, etc. and have WSU play in their spot. U. Colorado loves football; let them play Big 12 football and MVC everything else. :lol:Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

hello
CONFERENCE USA!
I know football is the issue but even with a football program the big 12 is not an option.
Conference USA on the other hand..........
Had 4 teams in regionals this year. Rice is going to the CWS for the 3rd or maybe 4th time in 5 years or something like that. Tulane and Houston are usually solid programs and East Carolina has been good of late. Add WSU to the mix and that is a strong baseball conference. You win that conference and you will be a national seed. As of today's boyds RPI all 5 teams mentioned above would be in the top 45 rpi.
With Memphis getting ready to bail WSU should get football going and join that league (pipe dream but thats ok, I'm allowed)
I don't think it would hurt the other sports too much. Basketball wouldn't be quite the same level but not far behind.
