After listening to the ESPN folks on Friday, I muted the TV and switched to radio at a friend's house on Saturday. On Sunday, I couldn't get the radio to work in my basement, so I just muted the TV and watched in silence.
The all sports network most assuredly did not bring their A game this past weekend.

I honestly think this weekend may have been the first time I've watched a WSU regional game on ESPN. I probably won't be complaining about it...
I assume you're referring to Super Regional, not Regional. We were on ESPN last year weren't we? Of course we weren't watching it on TV, we were at the game!

I thought Perez was a pretty good color guy actually and gave WSU a lot of props.
He was much better on Sunday. Friday I couldn't stand him and Saturday he was barely bareable. Maybe Pam just made him seem worse I don't know. I'm sure she could bring a lot of people down to her level...
During the games, twice ESPN showed a photo-graphic of FSU alums Dick Howser, Deion Sanders, J.D. Drew and two others. Good stuff.
They didn't have one for WSU. Apparently, ESPN couldn't make any more cute graphics. Or maybe ESPN's crack research department couldn't find a a picture of Joe Carter, Eric Wedge, Bill Parcells, Jimmie Johnson or Xavier McDaniel.

He wasn't bad for someone with little experience, but when you get drilled two games in a row fans aren't going to like anyone.
How many college baseball games does ESPN televise each season? Putting together 8 broadcast teams simultaneously can't be the easiest thing. I'm not sure what you all were expecting?
I thought Perez did a great job. Mentioned WSU's history thru out the super. The woman sucked, but I warned you all before that she would.
Some of you complaining just need to get rid of the sour grapes and the I've got small ones complex. You just sound retarded.
If I were complaining because we lost I'd probably say he was brutal throughout and not getting better. I think some jump to way too many conclusions when it comes to complaining.
The question I have about him was did he get better because he was becoming more comfortable doing what he was doing or because his team was losing the first game and had things well in hand the other two.

Have you ever seen us on ESPN in any regional?
Yes..Like I said, we were on ESPN last year. I DVR'd and went back and watch a little bit, anouncers didn't seem as bad as this year. However, I only watched bits and pieces of what I had recorded, so they could have been bad.
Don't let an alum of one of the participating schools call the game. It would be very hard to critique the game objectively, even if you're giving it your best effort.
Also, I'm all for female broadcasters, but Pam Ward is awful. She came off as completely unprepared.
I'd much rather watch Oklahoma State's MVP online.
Another note: make sure all the cables are plugged in. I watch ESPN on a very regular basis, and very rarely do any "technical difficulties" happen. I think we lost the signal at least 5 or 6 times throughout the weekend.
What bugged me the most were all of the times they'd talk about the wrong player. Ward would talk for fifteen seconds about the FSU player that was supposedly up to bat, all while FSU was in the field.
At one point, she even said something along the lines of "now up to bat, center fielder Tyler Holt... He hits that ball into center field, but Tyler Holt is right there to make the catch."
I understand that these are teams they have NEVER seen before, but that got annoying, especially when it was still happening on Sunday.
