I believe Capra got only one called strike, as he came in with a 2-0 count
first pitch swing and a miss second pitch ball third pitch called strike fourth pitch swing and a miss ball game::
You're right ... my bad. That last pitch was very similar to the called strike but Posey The Younger did take a rip.

No need to go back and rewatch it. The ump was calling it both ways.
Calling it both ways and somewhat inconsistent. Inside/outside were sometimes 2 feet apart and high strikes were not always called.
The ump missed two strikes in the 9th that Hoch had, and the hitter then singled.
Capra got two generous high strikes that were not called to all hitters.
FSU relies a lot on working deep counts and getting walks or good pitches to hit with 3-1 or 3-2 counts. Their hitters looked at a lot more pitches than WSU's, who were, for the most part, pretty aggressive. WSU's pitchers threw 183 pitches with 44 batters faced, while FSU's pitchers threw just 154 to 45 batters. That gave way more chances for percieved "bad" calls to FSU hitters.
Whining about the umps won't bring back a 2-run HR and a 3-run HR. Worry about your pitching, FSU, worry A LOT. Once again, Musgrave limited the damage to solo HR. Nice coaching by Martin, too. 3 pinch hitters went 0-fer.
Wanna talk about bad calls, the pickoff of Workman was a balk move not called.

Pretty inconsistent all day for and against both teams.
