  • Why not us?

I know today is going to fly by and many of us won't be able to get away from work. Personally I will only be able to follow occassionally on the net. This is my last chance to chime in before game time.

Good luck Shox and to all the Shocker fans everywhere...........

IT IS A GREAT DAY TO BE A SHOCKER!!!!!!!!

Let's play hard, cheer hard and get it done.

WuDrWu, as a doctor, you know doctors make the worse patients. So let me say that you don't look so good today. I think you may be getting stomach cramps. You should work hard this morning but probably in about 3 hours, I don't think you are going to be any good to anyone and should just head home.

In fact, what you have may be contagious. I bet lots of people are going to have the same problem.

So, get yourself home this afternoon, in the interest of public health.

I have a feeling there won't be quite as much sickness though as when the MBB team made it to the NCAAs a couple years ago for the Seton Hall game.

I don't know Rose, I think the spread of "Shockeritis" would be a good thing. I hear it can be caught via radio waves and online game trackers. So those of you already infected and at work today, do your best and spread it to the rest!

          Why not us? Indeed.

Musgrave, Shafer and Capra are the best 1-2-3 punch in the country, while FSU's starters are a step below. I expect a good, hard fought series with a big Shox win.

I'm starting to feel a bit queasy, I guess I better go talk to my boss <cough> ...

I guess I lucked out for today. No work and I scheduled the 1 year olds Bday party for 1230, so it should be over by first pitch. :D

My office is in Old Town and we have CABLE (plus about half the office are Shocker fans). The largest conference room is reserved for "Shocker Baseball" according the the calendar, so I will be watching everything from 1:00 to 2:00 (late lunch), and then it will remain on for any who want to stop in to catch up on the score. My private office is only about 25 feet from the conference room, so I already feel the urge to do a lot of walking the halls this afternoon (of course, going by the conference room each time). So basically, I will be watching the majority of the game AND I GET PAID TO DO IT.

You know around my workplace i havent heard one damn mention of the shocker game today. But best believe when KU was playing for the championshp it was blue and red GALORE!!!

Im actually at work with my yellow shockernet shirt on. Ive asked my cube neighbor to put it on 1330 so when im in between interviews I can check the score.

You Shockers are exactly like us. We all turn into kids on game day. Our fan bases are a lot alike I think. All I have been doing all morning is looking at WSU's stats and trying not to look at the clock.

You suck. I'm debating if I should follow the eventual game thead on here or try to ignore everything and see if I can survive until 10-11pm without hearing anything. I should probably just go ahead and follow on here :D

My boss called this morning and since I have fridays off I figured it wouldn't be a problem. He told me he was needing help and friday was gunna be mandatory overtime. I told him I've put in enough overtime the last several weeks and I'm not coming in. Or "cough, cough" I don't feel good. Either way I'm gunna be watching it at the bar. Should be fun. Everyone just needs to walk out of work today:). What they gunna do, fire everyone...
