  • Andy Oliver update....

Well it looks like they did the right thing in not playing him....what a jerk(the lawyer) ...but looks like he made a mistake...

    the skinny...

To think that the actions of a few attorney agents could be behind the indefinite suspension of Oklahoma State pitcher, Andy Oliver, makes me sick to my stomach. After speaking with various sources o

Sticking to the theme of baseball (it is MLB Amateur Draft week, after all), could a sports agent be blamed for Oklahoma State's downfall in this year's College World Series? It would be too easy to

this is the NCAA form I would assume that players sign from the schools compliance office

And here I thought Gene called all of his friends at the NCAA and pulled some strings. I never would have thought it had something to do with the player and his choices himself! I never!

I've wondered about the timing of the release of the information on Oliver's ineligibility. Did OSU hold off until after the regional selections by the NCAA?

Ya think some of those good ole southern boys might just owe Gene and WSU an apology for all the accusations thrown our way. They do, but don't hold your breath waiting for it. They really made some quick, harsh and very unsettling accusations, but I don't think they are so very ready to admit they were wrong.

Nope they are are already convinced that we cheated and a vast NCAA conspiracy cost them the regional, why let facts get in the way?

Looks to me like Oliver, or his parents, made the mistake by changing advisors without paying for services rendered by the first one, assuming they knew about the hourly fee. I can't see any business, who is carrying your debt to them, is out of line by requiring immediate payment upon termination of their services.

                BINGO, we have a winner!

The Pokie fans are too stupid to understand the implications of this action.

The money is due the original "Advisor" and that is a fact.

Let's hope he can hit a D-1 Curve ball!

Unless I'm missing something, it has less to do with the unpaid "advisor" bills, and more to do with Boras providing a disallowed service by contacting the original agency on Oliver's behalf.

It looks to me like Boras (the agency) just screwed Oliver and OSU.

But wasn't the service Boras provided dealing with the unpaid bill?

yes. and that is the problem. the ncaa needs to rid the problems of agents acting as advisers then being paid at a later date. and mlb just needs to get rid of boras period. that man is the bane of baseball.
