Absolutely, did the right thing on a bonehead move. Mike & Terry are part of WSU baseball, you can not break up the party. There are few better in broadcasting college baseball, the Tulane radio announcer reminded me of just how lucky we are!

Read between the lines, "for the remainder of the 2008 season". Sounds like his mind is still made up for next year and beyond for Elliot. He did the right thing for now, I hope we see Elliot back next season too.

At least our voices were heard. Still buggers me that they aren't just coming out and saying wtf is going on. So much less pain, suffering if you do it that way.

edit: Thanks for the email Bill. Please take my advice and next time, just be up front and honest. Your mama was not fibbing when she said honesty is always the best policy.

What kind of a moron is running that place over there? Who in the world breaks up a radio team in the middle of post-season play, then turns around and re-hires the guy they fired 12 hours later? I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them re-fire him by the end of the day.

While I would like to think it was our emails...I think the lions share probably came from their sponsors. Oh an I heard Chuck Norris called ...thats what sealed it

I will give them credit for manning up and fixing the mistake. I know I make mistakes, so does everyone else. The key is to learn from them and fix them when you can. So, for now, I think we should focus on getting ready to enjoy another great broadcast and cheer the shox on to a big fat W.

When Chuck Norris calls you on the phone, he just says "Go". This is not permission for you to begin speaking, it is your cue to start running for your life.

I agree, however I feel this is a terrible time to be making mistakes regarding your on-air talent for Shocker baseball games. If they really wanted to do this, I'm sure they could have waited another 2-3 weeks until the season was finished. But at least they fixed it for the time being. - Lets just hope that the radio is in sync with the ESPN broadcasts so we don't have to suffer through whoever is calling the game for ESPN2. :good:

Let's see... TE did something bad enough to get fired between the regional and super regional, but... was not bad enough to get re-hired 12 hours later. To be continued...

I know in basketball season, the crack engineering crew has done a decent job of syncing TV and Radio. It will get off sometimes when the TV delay changes. If they can manage to get that one figured out and have a good sync, I will love them long time.

Of course, I don't mind it being off as I've gotten used to it over the years. It drives my wife crazy as I'll have it on my portable radio and I'll cheer before the pitch is thrown, etc. The guy will be standing there on the mound and I'll say "HOLY COW, WATCH THIS WATCH THIS!" It makes me feel like a psychic.

We could have always tried to get ESPN to buy out Mike's contract & hire Terry for the Super Regionals. That way the entire country gets to enjoy the Mike & Terry Show .
