I suspect Terry was keepin' it real. I listened to every bit of every game and didn't hear anything that bothered me. But, I'm not offended by the truth even if it hurts.
I wonder if some Okie fans got a little too much reality for their liking.
Let me say this now: Until they come out and at least way why he isn't making the call, I am done supporting anyone who advertises with BGM. I can't give up listening to the games, but I can give the sponsors up.
Well, reading the article, it doesn't say he's fired and will never do another Shocker game again, it just says no Fla Superregional games.
Doesn't prove, but certainly suggests that this isn't an issue with Terry and the games (otherwise, wouldn't they just fire him?) but more with the upcoming Superregional. Unfortunately, I can't think of a logical explanation for why he isn't going...
Perhaps there is some ad work he needs to do and put off for the regionals and now can't wait... could be....
All just speculation.

I have no information regarding this, but if you like and respect Terry Elliot, you should be pleased that they are keeping personnel issues private.
It seems that with no details, you've already convicted BGM.
For the record, I enjoy listening to him and hope whatever the matter is will get properly resolved and he'll be back on the air.
Better save the archived game from Sunday night. 8) 8) 8)
For some odd reason, my mac only saves 24.3mb worth of the game from Sunday. :-x
Mancave.
I haven't listened to every word, but I did listen to a bunch of it and there was nothing Terry said out of line in my eyes......he asked one time if "it was this much fun in 88?"
He mentioned OSU fans leaving after the granny.......I don't know but I do intend to find out.

I hate it when companies, especially radio companies, come out and do stuff like this. I much prefer it when companies are open and honest. If there are personal issues, say that and say we can't wait to have him back, etc. etc. etc.
These types of statements don't do any good. Look what happened when OSU made a similar statement about Oliver. It just sets up for baseless speculation. Radio stations try to pull this stuff all the time. "So and So DJ will no longer be doing the Morning Zoo..."
Was he fired? Is he moving to mid days? Just on a long vacation?
I hate it, and until BGM can at least give us something I won't support their sponsors.
the only comment i heard was that the ump could lose a couple of pounds. (comment was made when running out to pitching bullpen).
Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, and Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.
My fave all-time broadcasting "mistake" was some time in the '50's when there were 3 channels and 2 of them had Saturday afternoon baseball. Dizzy Dean was calling a blowout and said something to the effect, "You should really change channels. This game is awful and they've got a real barn burner on the other channel". Then he proceeded to describe the other game.
As for Elliott. That guy is the definition of baseball in Wichita. Played for the Shox. Has played in the NBC for about 20 years and done Shox games about that long. Rumors will fly and this cannot end well. This close to the end of the season - how tough would it be to let him finish the season and if there was going to be a change, make it sometime between July and February.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades. We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
