So no one else even thinks it's a valid consideration to replace the .275/.379/.356 guy with average speed?

I'm on the fence, but I think it at least is a consideration.

I am with you, but I am the idiot that would use Capra in relief. :D

It's a great question. It was the first one I was thinking of walking out of Reynolds Sunday.

My answer is that I would start both, but admittedly it isn't as clear cut of a decision as it was two weeks ago.
And sit Ryan Jones? Not being critical, just curious if you meant in the field or using the DH somehow.

        Williams at DH
Do you sit Hill then and start McKeever at first?
I don't think so. This is a the time of year when you need your leaders leading on the field... not from the bench.

I'd leave it all alone. I love having KWJ coming in late in the game. It adds a whole 'nother dimension to our game.

I'd say that old adage, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies to this situation right here.

Are you saying Hall has average speed or Kenny does?

We've now won 9 games in a row. I'd say if it aint broke, don't fix it. The last time we had to tweak the lineup, we went into a tailspin.

Now granted, I'd like to see KWJ in there somewhere. But with how good Hall has been, it's hard to just take out a kid who's been hot, both on the field and at the plate.

I'm glad none of us are the coaches, or we'd have a major controversy. I guess that is why they pay Gene what they do.

Gotta be KWJ. You shouldn't lose your starting job due to injury.

Wally Pip and Trent Green agree with you.

Well he wasn't injured so he didn't lose his job to injury... technically.

Maybe start KWJ vs RHP and Hall vs LHP.

I am sure they are considering that Ed. Does anyone have Kenny's numbers from the left side vs. the right side. For some reason I think I remember Kennedy saying he has about the same numbers from either side. I am very interested to see what happens, but I expect Kevin Hall to run out to left field on Friday for some reason.

                                Before the regional:
                                Williams Jr., Kenny .325
                                Hall, Kevin .226
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.
