  • Flores has seen better!!!!! in 06 norman regional

Second time around for Flores losing to WSU in a regional, just different team.

Check out who threw for WSU that game.

Too damn funny. Schafer holds Flores and Houston to 1 run thru 7 innings and gets the win against Houstons 1st round pick Brad Lincoln.

I'm guessing Flores rembered his team getting burnt once before and didn't like losing to him again.

Just in case your not following.........Flores played two years for Houston before transferring to OSU.

I had the distinct HONOR to visit with Aaron's father last night. He has every right to be proud of his son and we enjoyed remembering his post-season sucess (it is impressive) as the game carried on into the night. Aaron has a bunch of reasons to be proud of his father as well. Like so many of the people associated with Shocker baseball.....high, high quality.

The guy just keeps getting lucky enough to show up against guys that aren't quite as good and he's seen better from.

I hope he's gone through a couple of boxes of Kleenex's.

This is why I enjoy Shocker fans so much - - Who else would realize a guy playing on OSU now played for Houston 2 years ago. But I sure do remember Aaron's pitching performance that day. . and by the way - those of you doing the "We've seen better" cheer" - that was awesome. . . I mean really - if you say something that stupid, you deserve to be taunted.

OSU fan tries to wave that off as childish and stupid. I guess when you get owned that bad, you have to try and salvage whatever you can.

I can tell you this; I am all about respecting the opponent, especially when we are the guest but when someone opens their mouth and insults my team, then he becomes fair game.

I would consider myself mildly intelligent with a pretty quick wit. I also knew just about everything that was going on with this regional and I was totally aware of Flores' comments. When he got tossed, there was about a 2 second delay between him getting tossed and whomever started up the chant. I have no idea who started it (I was nowhere near that group) but even if they spent the entire day planning it, the cheer was delivered perfectly and without hesitation.

Not realizing that seems childish to me.

As a high school teacher - I work hard to always conduct myself with good sportsmanship when I attend athletic events. I don't boo, I applaud an outstanding play even when the other team makes it, and I will exchange pleasantries with the fans from the other team without being rude. However -if you disrespect my team or my players when they so clearly turned in an outstanding performance - you are fair game in my book! I just wish I had been their to join in . The OSU fans who didn't realize why Flores was getting taunted clearly didn't read the paper. And had one of our players made such a classless comment, I would've expected him to get the same treatment.
