  • It's a Damn Shame.......

.....that this regional wasn't held in Wichita, where TWICE as many fans could've attended.

But I COMPLETELY understand the NCAA's "reasoning" and the NEED to ensure that AT LEAST 2-3 Big XII teams host these things EACH AND EVERY year.

    It's their @$~&*(#!~ birthright.

      6 Big XII teams in
      3 Big XII teams host
1 Big XII team needs to win today or 0 advances.

      1 MVC team in
      0 MVC team hosts
      1 MVC team advances

If they are, they probably won't be after the meltdown that team had late in the game. I wouldn't give my money to a bunch of whining, let's get ejected, type of people.

Yes. They will have a new stadium at some point. It is LONG overdue. But, as it is more often than not, their program deserves it but their support does not.

Still, it will be a nice place for Shocker fans to visit and whip their ass again.

Think OSU is ready to send a request letter to the NCAA to never send WSU to another regional in Stillwater? How many times has WSU advanced now out of a Stillwater Regional?

I love how their fans think the NCAA and the umps stole it from them.

Yeah, that's the ticket. The NCAA is biased towards teams like, and specifically, WSU. BCS teams just cannot accept being 2nd best.

In their minds there's the BCS level, then the rest of D1, then the rest of whoever they are. It really irks them to lose to WSU. Think the yearly games are over again for a while?

                    Example of owned.......

You will never top the "we've seen better" chant......NEVER!

A couple of Pokes tried to start a "we've got football" chant.

Nice. You last won anything when? You last beat even WSU....when?

Did Frank Anderson yell at the ump, I'M A MAN! I'M 40!?

He did something that resembles what my 3 year old would do. Maybe my boy can give him some pointers for next time to make it more dramatic. :)

I'm sure this is discussed in one of the other threads but can somebody explain this to me anyway...

Ok, just a little perspective here. If our ace pitcher could not perform for whatever reason, we would have felt we had not fielded our best team. And it makes it doubly hard to take that it was not illness or injury that kept him from pitching. It was bureaucracy. And it doesn't make any difference whether it was OSU's decision to not pitch him or that of the NCAA. The end result is that OSU's fan THINK that if Oliver had pitched, they would have been in the winner's bracket instead of WSU and that WSU would have had to win twice with the ever depleting pen.

As to the umps - Go ahead and throw stones at the OSU fans for blaming the umps BUT ONLY IF YOU HAVE NEVER griped, complained, bitched, whatever you want to call it, about umps or refs.

If the tables were turned, we would have had the same reaction and the same meltdown. That's college sports. It is what it is. They lost, we won. Let it lie. We have bigger fish to fry this coming weekend and that is where our energy needs to be directed.
