          Let's go Shockers!

At Ballard’s Sporting Goods in Aggieville, this season’s popular purple T-Shirt with the “Welcome to Huggieville” greeting had already been replaced with a newer line known as “Welcome to Traitorville.” “Welcome Back to Loserville” might be a more appropriate selection. - msnbc 4/7/07

The OSU forum has rumored that catcher Luis Florez is starting the game at pitcher for the Cowboys.

That would be interesting to use him as a starter. If he isn't "average" and they want him to catch, they lose their DH. I like the thought of that. Here's to not being average Luis!

When you first reported that Flores was going to pitch, I thought you were just "punning" around, but apparently not. Got this off the OSU board re Flores:

"Looks like he did some pitching while he was at the University of Houston.

                      FRESHMAN (2006)
Became the first player in four years to be named a Freshman All-American and was named to the Baseball America All-Freshman First Team and Rivals.com First Team as a utility player... One of four Cougars named to C-USA All-Tournament Team and one of two players named to C-USA All-Freshmen Team... Finished second on pitching staff in ERA (3.00) and opposing batting average (.239) and third in wins (6), innings pitched (87.0) and strikeouts (67)

                      MOODY HIGH SCHOOL
Lettered for head coach Corky Gallegos... Ranked as the No. 17 prospect in Texas by Jason Becker's Texas Baseball News... Finished prep career with 49 pitching wins, one of the highest totals in Texas high school history. Senior (2005): Earned a berth on the Texas Sports Writers Association Class 5A All-State First Team... Named the All-South Texas Baseball Team Most Valuable Player... Posted a 10-1 record on the mound and helped lead the Trojans to the Class 5A Region IV finals."
