Venditte did pitch 1 1/3 innings Wednesday and four more yesterday afternoon.

Besides, the way SIU is squandering baserunners and hitting into DPs, anybody who can get a ground ball should work okay for Creighton. Lackovic pitched to five hitters, gave up hits to four of them, and emerged unscathed. Who needs Venditte?

I was actually being saracstic in that I didn't think they ever went to anybody in the pen but Venditte. I realize that they have other pitchers and the innings he has pitched thus far, in fact VanLeur and Dooley have been getting more time recently.

Target huh? Did the radio guys take the time to evaluate Creighton's schedule. For a pretty decent team, they scheduled way down this year. That sure doesn't lead anyone to believe they were a target.
