I am shocked they haven't gone to Venditte yet, I guess maybe they are waiting to get a lead. I didn't realize they had anybody else in the pen.

Venditte did pitch 1 1/3 innings Wednesday and four more yesterday afternoon.

Besides, the way SIU is squandering baserunners and hitting into DPs, anybody who can get a ground ball should work okay for Creighton. Lackovic pitched to five hitters, gave up hits to four of them, and emerged unscathed. Who needs Venditte?
