I always scoff at projections, so I'm not going to make one. Instead, this is a memo to the baseball selection committee:

Dear Selectors,

I know the Aggies are struggling right now, but they've had a good season overall, so go ahead and give them their regional. And when you do, be sure to send Wichita State there, along with TCU, plus whatever fourth seed you want. Thanks.

Good heavens -- eight losses in a row. Send the Shocks to College Station! If WSU can get past the opener, they'll almost surely be playing the #4 seed next, and even if A&M somehow manages to win, how could you not want that matchup for the key second round winner's bracket game?

At this point, Texas A&M may be playing themselves out of hosting a regional.

I doubt the committee will punish a Big XII team that much though.
