KSU now above .500, beats OSU

In front of 5,930 OSU fans and 7 KSU fans, the Cats win 3-2 against the #2 seed and 6th-ranked Pokes. K-State moves its record to 28-27 overall and 8-18 all time in the postseason.

K-State could eliminate Nebraska Friday afternoon. This could be the year, if they win this tournament, that K-State finally makes the NCAA Regional field.

Coach Brad Hill, whom Gene picked for the job, really has this team living up to their potential.

I am actually cheering for the Cats to win the Big 12 tourney. That would be pretty cool for them to go in as such a huge underdog and win the thing. If they beat Nebraska tomorrow and Baylor on Saturday.... no never mind they will blow it.

K-State has pretty good starting pitching and their bullpen is really good. Will be a tough out for anyone in the Tournament, hopefully my Tigers will get a chance on Sunday.

But if KSU wins, then you can scratch a second team from the MVC getting into the field. That will take up one of the few open spots left, and someone like MSU will get the raw end of the deal.

however, if Nebraska and OSU both have bad showings in the Big XII tourney, and WSU runs through the Valley undefeated, might that put the Shox in line for a regional bid again? Something to think about.

Who cares at this point? The conference has done nothing to help WSU baseball. They're all playing like a midmajor league in this particular sport. Maybe they should be treated like it.
