Saturday is Senior Day at the Eck. We will bid farewell to a class of good ball players and some great young men. Good luck to each of the Seniors, whether you pursue your dream in baseball or move on to other endeavors. This group adds to a great Shocker legacy.
Andy Dirks - What an outstanding dirtbag ball player. Wish you had been here longer, Andy.
Tyler Hill - Some great moments as a Shocker and my favorite player.
Rob Musgrave - One crafty lefty. 26 wins so far as a Shocker.
Tyler Weber - Great job handling the pitching staff the last 2 1/2 seasons. I'll never forget the consecutive hit streak in '07.
Andy Womack - Put the Shocks over the top in the ’07 Super Regional run.
Khol Nanney - Solid senior contributor who came into his own in ’07. Nasty stuff.
Of course, there are several draft-eligible others we probably won’t see next year: Anthony Capra, Conor Gillaspie, Aaron Shafer. A few others might decide to move on with good drafts: Kenny Williams Jr., Josh Workman, Dusty Coleman. We’d love to see all these guys back, but understand the drive to pursue ambitions to play pro ball. Good luck!
Before you guys leave, though, go get an MVC Championship and some NCAA Tournament wins!
