Maybe the 12-0 crushing took a lot out of people.

Maybe a few realized how inconsistent this team is and doesn't wanna get too excited about the upcoming games.

Maybe a few are still shellshocked on how we pretty much gave MSU a chance to share with us or even take away an MVC crown that belongs to us.

Don't blame it on the fans. We've been here all year long though the struggles. If you're gonna cast blame anywhere, blame it on the coaches and players.

So, does the fact that the team is struggling and incosistent mean that we fans should bail too? Winning is important, don't get me wrong, and how we have been playing is frustrating, but standing tall and keeping on rooting 'em on when things AREN'T going well is important too. I seem to remember how remarkable many seemed it to be when many of us cheered the BB team, even after a loss? I prefer the fan attitude of "we stand with you through good, bad, and ugly" vs. the "what have you done for me lately" one.

I still think is a good, maybe slightly above average team. Not great, certainly by WSU traditional standards. I, for one, will be there in body or spirit over the rest of the season, no matter what.

            But the fans are fickle.

Evidence last year's NCAA regional and super regional attendance.

            Game #1 7084 WSU loses
Game #2 4236 I GUARANTEE there weren't 3500 fans there. WSU wins but a bunch of fans are jumping ship.
Game #3 5102 Do-or-die. WSU wins with a few back on the bandwagon
Game #4 6079 WSU wins and the bandwagon is getting bigger
Game #5 7851 WSU wins and the bandwagon needs new tires.

And of course, 8153 for both super regional games. The bandwagon almost collapsed under the stress and WSU adminsitration had to scramble to get as many seats in Eck as possible.

Shocker fans pretty much proclaimed, "What have you done for us lately?" I'm really OK with all that, but there are really only about 3500 LOYAL WSU baseball fans. I get that lots of folks will support a winner.

unlike in basketball or football(if we had it), the amount of time it takes out of your schedule to go to every baseball game is enormous. Not everyone can attend every game due to family and other interests. You get the loyal fans that come to every game and then some people come to only one game a week. i know alot of people that plan to come to the bigger games(osu, ou, azu to name a few) and then come out whenever they can otherwise. Your attendance is always going to get bigger during the postseason, especially after a few wins.

some people seem to think that poeople should come out to every game, while attendance is probably down due to inconsistency of the team, there are other reasons why the shocks have higher attendance in post season action

Good to see the Shocks bounce back with a solid team effort.

Here's hoping they will sustain that kind of an effort and performance from here on out.

I saw and heard very little of the game, but it was great to see the final results.

I agree. it finally looked like they were swinging to get a hit,not a homerun.

Through 7 innings so far has been a pretty solid effort again tonight. Bradley is throwing some guys with good arms, both pitchers have reached the low to mid 90's

I just want to boot up my laptop again to say I was there for the first WSU cycle in 17 years!

Add that to the 4Ks in an inning this year.

PS - Shox lead 7 to 3 after hall gets another 8th inning double!
