I'm as frustrated as anyone, but to think that we should stop going to games or supporting this team, and not thinking of ourselves as a national program is crazy to me. We struggled in midweek last year and some the year before and we were 2 wins from the CWS last year and have been in regional championships for the last few years, I know we lost a few when we only had to win one on the last day, but at least we were there, and nobody knows for sure that we won't still do something good this year. With our top 3 starters if we can get any kiind of offense I like our chances against most teams. So I'm not ready to stop "throwing my money" at this team this year or for many years to come.

I left in the 5th (thankfully) because there's just no fire in the team right now ... you can just tell they're they're not bouncing around, not having fun out there.
I don't know what the answer is.
Our starters might be good enough to get us deep into a regional again. But no way we win one the way things are with this team right now. We have to find some sort of spark this weekend and in the Valley tourney or this is gonna be an ugly finish.“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'”

That story has nothing to do with how this team is playing. Why can't any of you understand that this team was/is overrated. 23 of the 35 D1 wins or 26 of the 38 wins are against teams with RPI's over 100. The Shox benefitted from playing crappy ass teams and just are an average ball club. Their schedule made them appear to be a great team.
This team is worse than the 2001 team that failed to make it to the NCAA Regionals. At least with that team we had victories over Nebraska, Arkansas, and Long Beach. However, it will be very ironic that we make the Regionals with this crap team when that 2001 team did not. Although going 0-2 in the MVC Tourney that year sealed their demise IMO.
Next year's team will be worse than this years so we might as well get used to this futility that is being displayed on the field.

wow, I'm glad I didn't go to this game tonight. In fact, I was thinking about getting tickets for the conference tournament, but I think I'll pass. Let's be honest, this team flat out sucks right now, and they may back door their way into a regional undeservingly. If the NCAA committee looks at how they finish, then this team will be home for good after the MVC tournament. Right now I'm not even sure they can take the Valley.

How in the world can some of you completely dismiss the possible impact of the stalking story?
That is nuts to say with certainty it has no impact.
I would guess most posting on this board played baseball at some point or have kids that play softball or baseball.
We know that baseball involves the mind more than any other physical sport.

I guess I was weird, because when I played the field was the one place where I forgot about what was going on outside the field and just concentrated fully on the game that day, and I would think these guys playing at the level they are playing could leave that off the field. I miss playing and alot is for that reason, I could take 2-3 hours and not have to think about what was going on in "real life".THERE ARE FLOCKS OF BIRDS AND MANY A CAT ------ BUT ONLY ONE WUSHOCK!
