Shortening up your swing with two strikes

A fundamental in baseball that our players don't seem to know how to do. Why is that?

Hooper, Blake Blasi and to some extent Nick Blasi were the last three I can remember to do it.

Thats a good question and something you would hope these kids would not need to be taught at the point of landing a spot on a roster like ours. None the less you got a point and approached it in a reasonable fashion this time around.

Not only shortening up the swing, but how about just chopping at a pitch to protect the plate and stay alive. I've seen more players more times watch a called third strike go right by them than I can shake a stick at.
