I tried to call Gary Cundiff today to find out where we exactly stand in terms of phase one fundraising but he was out of the office. Does anyone know where we are exactly? The last I heard we were $400 K short of finishing the fundraising for Phase I. $400,000 is a lot of money but then again it is not. That is only 400 donations of $1000 each. Shockernet is projected to donate $3000 so that number goes down to 397. Anyways, it just seems like hosting another regional would enthuse the fan base enough to complete the first part of the fundraising. I guess I have been a little PO'ed this year with the midweek losses as I keep thinking about this in the back of my mind. There is nothing worse than announcing a fundraising campaign and not coming up with Jack needed to finish it. Maybe Gene will draw a line in the outfield dirt tonight for the players. Better yet, I think big Brent needs to get tossed tonight and go down in a blaze of glory to light some fires.
