I have no idea if this is true or not and we may never know. I do know that if this was a KSU or KU coach you guys would be all over it as proof of how dirty those programs are.
The thing that applies whether you are a WSU, KU, or KSU fan is that too many times someone can come out with an accusation against someone and that accusation is stronger than any evidence, eye-witnesses, or anything else.
Especially in wake of the Duke Lacrosse scandal, I think the time has come to re-evaluate how we react to stories like this.
since may is just around the corner, this may play out pretty fast. If it doesn't play out fast, sexton could make it play out fast. nothing like jumping in with both feet. either way, i think i would want to reserve judgement until at least after the may hearing. me, i believe in the old fashioned american way, innocent until proven guilty: or at least innocent until a judge institutes a restraining order in which case there would be evidence to suggest. . . .yeah, let's just wait and see.

But hey, it's your board. :D
You're one clever kitty.

I think we all would agree that this is going to have to play out before any real "judgement" can or will be made.
I'm not sure what you are getting at, but if you are trying to equate what Gene is going through to, say, an assistant coach that's been around for a year or 2 getting a DIU then I think it might be a little bit of an apple and orange thing. What Gene has done for the U and the city over 30 years demands, imho, a wait and see approach at minimum.

Yeah, to take the good Dr's point a little further, Dalonte Hill got a DUI, and a thread was started 2 days later by BCSCat. Oh, wait. That's you. It was mentioned in the game thread, but only commented on that they felt the penalty wasn't very stiff.
We were really all over that one. I'm still waiting for a quote where someone called your dirty program dirty. Did I say that out loud?
Yeah, this story sucks - sucks even more for Gene. But really folks, take a breather, no one has been arrested, no one has gone to jail and subsequently convicted in a court of law. For all we know, this lady could be a loon.
KU and KSU fans better step back. We don't have assistants getting pulled over for DUI's, we don't have assistants caught giving test answers to their atheletes in order to make the grade. You don't see WSU atheletes getting arrested by the police for being involved in girlfriend beatings, stabbings, assualt on campus police, and thefts.
This is a non-issue until something more substantial (if that ever happens) arises.
Well, innocent until proven guilty. But if we want this thing over really fast ADES or Gene can give me a call, tell me the woman's name, and she won't be able to appear before the court. Just doing my part as a Shocker fan. Gene, if you need my number pm me:)
Good point, lawmaker. Indiana State's "fans," all several dozen of them, traditionally like to hang around the dugout and make their presence known. There's no good time for something like this, but immediately preceding a trip to Terre Haute is about as bad as the timing can get.
