    Downtown, I totally agree with you. Things like sports and fine arts are great at keeping kids in school, I wouldn't argue that at all. I'm just saying the allocation of a communites resources is a little out of wack in my opinion. And NCAA is totally different than high school. Yes, sports are money generating endeovors at a lot of colleges, but that is not the case at all in high school.

At this point they raise about 20k a year and so far this year have raised 33k. Those are some of the ways that were talked about in the collegiate baseball article. I'm sure they have others as well.

          That's great and all but I'd bet my weekly paycheck there are some local taxpayer funds involved.

            Oklahoma ranks 50th in teacher salaries, and 47th in $ per pupil, and is the only state in the union whose test scores have dropped in both reading and math since 2005. But they have some green grass on those ball fields...
