You think it will take 10 runs to win behind Fleming or Kelley? Jeepers, you are even more pessimistic than I've given you credit for.

Since you did not place an emoticon behind your comment, I'm going to assume you are serious about your comment. As you can see, I gave you a wink, I'm not that serious about what I said. However, I think it will take 10 runs to be OK State. Thoughts?

You could be right KC, OSU can really hit the ball this year.

Yeah they are really tearing up the B12 with 0.272 batting average and their 5.5 runs per game.

FWIW, OSU has been shut-out twice this year (Baylor and K-state). Their offensive prowess was created by 22-8, 34-1 pounding of Ark-Pine-Bluff and 25-1 over Mid-American Christian. Take away those 3 games and their scoring average drops from 8.3 to 5.5 Run per game.

Oh, but you forgot to mention the 19 runs they scored against Nebraska, the 19 runs they scored against MO State, the 10 runs against Arizona, and 13 runs they scored against Texas. They also may be hitting .272 in the Big 12, but overall they are at .323. Pretty good I say.

Lastly, if their overall RPG average on a SOS ranked 10th is at 8.3 and our RPG average is 7.56 on SOS ranked 84th, I think that says something. It says we need to score a lot of runs against these guys.

Sorry KC, my brain stopped processing your post after the second period.

I think Tim Kelley will hold OSU to 3 runs or less. Ideally we'll have Hoch available after that, and then Nanney or Coleman at the end. I'm a lot more concerned about our scoring than I am about theirs.

I bet if you check the stats for those games that they scored a ton in... most of them would be at home. Their field is a launching pad.

I'll bet it takes 8-10 runs to win this game.

Where are we playing again on Wednesday?
                        Deuces Valley.
                        ... No really, deuces.

I bet if its a night for long balls that we hit more than they do in that tiny little launching pad of theirs.

I hope you're right, but honestly how could you say that? We've yet to prove our offensive skills in the midweek against stiff competition.

With the wind blowing out to left last Tuesday at Nebraska, I figured we'd get a wind-blown homer or two..

                              Nope..

If OSU puts up double digits then we're probably screwed. We can't afford to get into a shootout. We need this to be a 5-3 type of game.
