I think you have to come to the conclusion that UNI is a legitimate threat.

    UNI 10-2
    WSU 9-3
    SWMO 10-5

Common Opponents between UNI and WSU

    3-0 vs Illinois St
    2-1 vs CU

Opponents Played where teams can make hay.

WSU is 2-1 vs SWMO, UNI plays them on 5/14
UNI is 2-1 vs Indiana St, WSU plays them next week
WSU is 2-1 vs SIU, UNI plays them next week

Puh-leeezzz! UNI is not going to get my respect. Any team that loses to non-D1 Wisconsin-Platteville will do that. They are 0-2 against the Top 100 and are 10-7 against the teams in the RPI 100-200 and have 11 wins against 200+ RPI teams. They have a SOS rated as 254.

If UNI wins one game against us, it's because our team had a total melt-down and we beat ourselves, not because they beat us. A win is a win in the record book, but the Shox should steamroll this team. They have benefited from playing the lower tier MVC teams. If CU hadn't given up 3 unearned runs today, UNI would have gone 1-2.

Sorry, UNI is not legitimate in my book. They win the series against us, then they have proven something, until then............

If you really believe your spill, your really misguided. I might remind you that WSU just lost one game to a team that has a worse RPI and worse SOS than UNI?

Right now, WSU only has 31% probability of sweeping UNI per the ISR's.

They have benefited from playing the lower tier MVC teams.
That position was more legitimate last week. Now WSU and UNI have two common opponents - with exact records against each of them.

If CU hadn't given up 3 unearned runs today, UNI would have gone 1-2.
Touche, if CU hadn't given up 3 uneared runs against WSU in game 3, they would have taken 2 of 3 from WSU.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree. Want to put some money on this series?

Well, since I only stated facts, please show where they are wrong?.

Why would I want to bet against the Shockers?

BTW, your beloved CU team was fighting among themselves today. Evidently they have some chemistry issues.

                      UNI

A national seed for UNI? Those folks dream BIG.

                      How about this:

                      1. Go undefeated the rest of the regular season.

                      2. Find a time machine and go back and replay their schedule prior to Valley play, eliminating the 3 of 4 losses to Centenary, the loss to Eastern Illinois, and the loss to Wisconsin-Who? (all of which is sort of reminiscent of Steve Martin's great advice on how to become a millionaire: "first, get a million dollars").

That might get them a shot at an at-large spot in case they happen not to win the Valley tournament, but I'm afraid I don't like their chances to be a national seed.

Hey, lets keep this in perspective. UNI getting excited and supportive of their team is a good thing. The better they become the better the valley becomes and that in turn bodes well for WSU.

Shocks have Indiana State, UNI, Bradley and Evansville left on their MVC schedule.

UNI has the SIU, the Shocks, Bradley and Missouri State.

The remaining schedule would seem to favor the Shocks.

UNI can help its chances for a National seed with a big win over Clarke tomorrow night.

                            :goshocks:

UNI is still 0-2 against top 100 teams. They did prove something this weekend against CU, but they still have a ways to go.

Since when does SB call anyone legit that is 0-2 against top 100 teams? WSU and MSU are also the only remaining teams on their schedule in the top 100 in RPI
