BA, I don't know where you come up with this 90% chance of rain tonight crap, I checked all the major weather reports, KSN, weather.com and kansas.com, best I saw was a 40% chance, so you are way off base with that

WSU clinging to a 1-0 lead after 3. Maune threw 49 pitches in 2 innings. Justin Kemp came in to start the 3rd and struck out 3, but one runner reached when the pitch got through Cody.

Conor, Tyler Weber, and Tyler Hill are taking the night off. Grant Muncrief is getting his first start, at third base. Cody is catching, Clint is at first, and Kyle Sisney is at second, making Dusty the only regular infielder in the lineup. Brent Bascue is the DH. The outfield is Williams, Dirks, Jones.

Kemp has been impressive. I've wondered why we haven't seen more of Kemp. He went 4 innings in his only start and his numbers are pretty decent - 6 hits, 11 K, 3 BB in 8 innings over 3 appearances.

Kemp has been impressive. Sounds like he was throwing pretty hard.

The Shox took advantage of a 2-out error by Tabor, scoring 3 unearned runs in the 4th. Dirks and Williams stole bases in the inning and Williams took third on a ball in the dirt, all following the error.

I bragged on Kemp too soon. He's opened the 5th after the Shockers scored 3 runs with a pair of walks to the #1 and #2 hitters. Arg!

Kemp allows a run, but gets a double-play and a fly ball to escape the inning with a 4-2 lead.

Muncrief bags his first career hit. Cody Lassley collects his first hit since returning from the appendectomy.

Tabor walks Dirks intentionally to load the bases and then walk Kenny Williams too, to bring across a run. Now 5-2 Shox.

Matt Smith now in the game to start the 6th.

I think it was actually 4-1 after that. Shox now up 5-1 after another 2-out rally in the 5th.

Oops, I guess I don't know the score. Thanks for the correction.

                            K K BB 1-3

Nice inning for Matt (except for the walk of course).

The walk ruined the mow em down inning.

I'm going to give Tabor some props. Mike Kennedy said they are playing their 5th game in 3 days, having played double-headers in each of the last two days. Presumably they play this weekend also.
